Scribblestown Rise Cultivates Community and Green Spaces

Scribblestown Rise have been coming together over the past year to garden and plant around the communal areas.

They have added seasonal flowers, a memorial area, a communal bench, and an accessible picnic table to ensure that everyone in the estate can come together and feel included. They have recently received a grant from the local education and training board for horticulture classes. They have been greatly enjoying the classes and it has encouraged new people to get involved.

They have created an allotment area that they have now planted garlic, broad beans, and onions for the Winter months. We believe this is only the beginning for the gardening group with hopes of putting up a polytunnel in the new year.
