From Litter Picks to Family Fundays at Ravel grange
Ravel Grange was one of the first estates in the PPP scheme to become occupied. The residents quickly began forming a resident’s association as getting to know one another and forming a strong community was of utmost importance to them.
They began by having a litter pick and then went on to having numerous community meetings, working together to better estate. The resident’s association organised a fantastic Family Funday that had all the ‘bells and whistles’ from food stalls, pet farms, community games, a magician, and a monster raffle that local businesses had donated. People brought an array of food to share for the Taste of the World table. Everyone greatly enjoyed the day.

The following year the community champions created a young leadership group who met every Saturday to litter pick around the estate instilling great values to the children and young people. They were delighted then to be treated to a trip to Tayto Park as a thank you for all their efforts.
